Write the procedure once

Then change it, version it, and see whether the change worked.

A procedure is the real sequence of a job: the steps, their order, what must be checked at each one, and who signs it off. You build it in the browser without a developer.

Approval gates are set by role, so the person who signs off a step is defined by the job rather than by whoever is nearby. Steps can depend on earlier steps, so an order that matters is enforced rather than hoped for.

Procedures are drafted, published, and archived, with version history. An older version keeps its own record, so a report about last quarter still describes what was actually in force at the time.

If the procedure already exists as a document, upload it. Dutyrex extracts the text and drafts a procedure from it for a manager to review and correct — a starting point, never an automatic publication.
